| Backdrops Using Your Images |
At Backdrop Junction I am happy to print custom backdrops from your images. The best way to do this is to contact me via e-mail or phone to discuss your individual project. You can send your images to me via e-mail, I will edit the image to get it as close to what you are looking for as possible, and when you are happy I will print the backdrop on either the Enhanced Matte or Adhesive Vinyl paper. If you have not yet shot the images you are looking to turn into a backdrop read below for a few quick tips on how to make a good backdrop. (Even as an experienced photographer it has been a learning process.)
Here's a couple tips I use when shooting backdrops for the site;
- Don't try to capture the scene in one image. Multiple images provides far more detail than a single image.
- Keep the horizon in the same spot in the viewfinder for each shot keeping the camera as level as possible.
- Overlap each image by at least 20% so the software can later stitch your images together.
- If possible hold the camera in profile view, (hold it sideways so the longest part of the image is vertical)
- Don't zoom in too close, leave a lot of extra in the image so it can be cropped and scaled appropriately.
- Minimize or eliminate any foreground objects. A car that is too close will look huge if I make the further image appear to scale
- Use the highest resolution your camera is capable of
